The first ascent of the route “Delle guide” or “Via Miriam” (VI-, 180m) was realized in September 2003 by Chr. Belogiannis - A. Karapetakos - P. Raspo.
For the 1st pitch (V, 50m), which is common with the route “Traffic”, we start from a gully with dihedral passages (V) in the middle and at the exit, which are well secured. Then we go out into an easy grassy field and find a piton before a passage on easy blocks (IV+), to continue with another passage on easy blocks (IV), where we make the belay on cedar roots and our own materials.
For the 2nd pitch (VI-, 40m) we continue right and up towards the gully, in an easy grassy field with scattered blocks, to enter the gully and follow a crack-dihedral on its right side. The crack-dihedral can be well protected with friends and becomes difficult at the end (VI-) with steps on friction, but good grips. After we get out of the crack-dihedral, we enter an easy gully (III) to pass a wedged stone (IV) and continue left and up to a ledge through a beautiful slab (IV+), with lines carved by the glaciers. On the ledge we make the belay with our own equipment in cracks.
For the 3rd pitch (V, 60m) we continue straight above the belay and a little to the right to a small gully that leads to a ledge. From there we follow a small chimney (V), from which we emerge right, just before its end, on a dihedral with hollow blocks (V-). We continue straight and slightly left on a ridge, with the difficulty falling (IV+), but the hollow blocks continue. Finally, we emerge on a positive field with large blocks (III+) and grass, where we will follow a straight line upwards, first making a final vertical pass in handfuls (V-). The pass will lead us to a positive grassy field and finally, after a few meters, we make the belay on a monolith.
From there we continue for 30m upwards and right towards a characteristic rock with shade, where we collect our equipment.
To repeat the route, we need a set of nuts, some small and medium friends, and optionally some pitons and a hammer.
The route is located on the low rocks opposite the refuge and to access it from there we need about 15min.
For the return we start descending to the left (as we look down), looking for the easiest way between the blocks. We continue towards the refuge, which we approach from the ridge.
